The
Wayward Belt is the name given by the
Boshaari Council to a thicket of asteroids within the wider spread of the
Hodeth Belt.
The Wayward Belt was discovered by and first explored by
Boriel Davi. When ancient mining operations were discovered on many of the largest asteroids, it was decided by Council leader
Aethiel Bili to send several prisoners and dissidents there to restart mining operations. Unbeknowst to the Council, nearly everybody involved in this project turned coat against it, and the various factions that formed afterwards soon coalesced into the wider
Hodeth Alliance movement. There is mounting evidence that clandestine shipyards and
Thaumium occur here, but to reclaim the Belt would be political suicide.
