Ghaulwira the Hollow
God of chaos, cold, darkness, decay, entropy, evil, and insanity
see Apostles of Ghaulwira and The Grey.
Ghaulwira is a god unlike any other. The incarnation of evil, insanity, and selfishness, it has no gender, appearing most often as a faceless monstrosity that mortals find difficult to focus on. Some say that when the Sister-Moons called the first gods and geshtai to Ancathra, Ghaulwira traveled from a dimension immensely farther than any other. Others say he is not a god at all, but one of the Great Old Ones who escaped their realm for this one.
No one openly worships Ghaulwira. In most societies, those who do are quickly made pariahs and exiled or summarily executed. No sane community allows that kind of power to manifest. Those few who do pray to it are usually found in a secret underground network called the Apostles of Ghaulwira. Often clerics of the slightly more tolerable Ausranic god of murder, Taltossa or the fey god of predators, Icthion the Pursuer. The few small temples to each that exist are allowed to operate only under specific circumstances or in distant locations. In either case, they are watched constantly.
