Santa's North Pole Archives

Merry Holidays! I am your Records Guide, Sam Golly Frick.   In the annals of history, we up here are no different than many civilizations who have records dating back centuries or even millennia. Except our system is different.   We have an underground cavern filled with rooms and hallways. The office is in Christmas Town Central District, but the archives begin here in Christmas Valley Woodlands and The Quarters & Outer Limits.   Secured inside the walls of the valley, the entrance hides the way to information that could damage Christmas Spirit. The department director is Archivist of North Pole Village, Hugo Cristobal Esther.   It is down below that Record Elves, such as me, frequently use the magical elevators to reach where the true archives lie.   You’ll first see the “Archives Office of Collection and Security ". This desk is what all of use to check in. The clerical elf you see is also security in case something happens.   As we go past the elf, signs point the way from our very humble beginnings to the 1700’s and 1800’s and 1900’s and on to today. Each of these are for our Christmas letters and Naughty and Nice List.   Then in a separate space we have records of all documents about the Valley. The earlier the century, the more likely that scrolls were used.   Of course, we are very busy making things look easy. But you try to keep millions of records every year for 1,500 years!   And sometimes we are asked to find things for Santa or Mrs. Claus, we do our Christmas best to find what is asked.   You’ve followed back to the freight elevator. So, before we go back up, I’ll remind you that we preserve these records on the grounds of their enduring cultural and historical value as overseen by Head Archivist Hugo Esther.   I’ve got some work to do so enjoy your stay! Be nice, you guys!     The North Pole Central Archives, also run by Head Archivist Hugo Esther. Recruiting Record Elves to the task, their job is to preserve these records on the grounds of their enduring cultural and historical value.   The Archives have four sub-divisions. Christmas Letters are the first division. These letters are divided by year and stored for prosperity. Each year, they are taken into the archives.   The second is the Naughty and Nice List. These are taken after every Christmas Eve down to the archives and stored for prosperity. This sub-division is also divided by year.   Besides these two, all documents about the Valley also are here.   For this department, The Post Office and Archives belong to it.
