High Elf
High Elves are the rarest of the three Elven groups, a few leave the safety of their floating homeland. Those that do tend to be diplomats and scholars.

Anatomy
High Elves have a typical Elven body plan, though compared to Wood Elves they are a bit taller, heavier, and have a paler complexion.

Like all Elves the High Elves have long pointed ears that are capable of moving to express emotion.

High Elves are native to the 'Floating Archipelago'.
Civilization and Culture
History
For as long as Elven kind existed, they've watched the 'Floating Archipelago' slowly drift over the 'Elder Forest' over the span of a season. Eventually it would disappear over the Dura Mountains to the north, and wouldn't return until the next season when it would appear south of the forest. At one point a group of friends noticed that there was a root dangling off one of the islands and it was about to pass by on of the tallest trees in the forest. They raced up the tree and were delighted to find that the root was within reach, and they were able to climb up the root to reach the islands. The friends spent the day exploring the island with the intent to return to their forest home by dusk, but when they climbed back down the root they found that the islands had moved to far, and they could no longer safely reach the tree tops.
The group of friends were forced to survive on the 'Floating Archipelago' for an entire year, waiting for the islands to pass close enough to a tree so they could descend.
