Culture

Kaldrian society has a sense of a meritocracy where skill is valued above all else. Local officials and public offices are held by those whom the citizens believe to have the knowledge and skill to do so. Many Kaldrians try to make a name for themselves in order by achieving great feats, creating a competitive atmosphere among the citizens in order to be seen as the best. The competition creates an unbalance between those who can and those who cannot, so the citizens who struggle to find there place in the world are often looked down upon for their lack of ability. The Kaldrian citizens are a very proud people who would defend what they believe in.
