Galdor

The Old Capital of Argon, after the Argonian Civil war the capital was moved from Galdor to Astrea. Galdor is a large city, the College of Argon is located here. Galdor is sits on fertile land, and a copper mine making it a weathly place. The Lord responsible for overseeing Galdor is a Dragonborn man called Yalkor Galdor.
The Mages Academy is in disuse, currently its used for storing magical artifacts and studying them by scholars with royal approval only. The College of Galdor is used for general studies. The largest course of studies there are the history, non-magical medical studies, and military learning courses. Admission is fairly inexpensive and if people cannot afford tuition there are many scholarship programs.
Culturally Galdor is in an odd spot. It was the first city founded by humans on Vestri and has gone through radical change since its inception. Still the largest city in the kingdom, the monuments to some of the Old Line of kings still stand though the monuments and marks that mages left have long since been torn down, save for a few broken stands left you'd never know they were ever there. Its as conservative as any other city when it comes to mages though the current lord of Galdor, a dragonborn man name Yalkor, is known to be very forgiving when it comes to any actually punishment. It would have to be something life endangering these days to actually be worth arresting a mages for, unless they are unlicensed.
Galdor has a high quality of life and the poor are well sought after by Yalkor the Lord of Galdor, who is the most loved in the Kingdom. However, there are cracks and people often fall into them. Organized crime is a large issue in the city.
