Historical Basis
Yes, Urtho was a real person, many events did happen, but some of them were made up.
Most of the time on @aquatica, he worked against the Atlanteans in the shadows when he could. Luckily he was never caught but after the The Chaos Wars, he also helped with the rebuilding. This took many decades and was exhausting work. He was constantly inundated with others asking him to help, so he decided to hide away for a while and faked his own death.
He has hidden for years, with only a select few friends that discovered his secret hideaway, most of his previous help was from unseen servants, which he didn't want to do for himself.
One day some enterprising young halflings were exploring and discovered a secret door that led to an invisible castle in the sky. This is his secret lab/house.
