Cassandra dan Vacht
Mother of Arpeggio and Arietta, residing madame of the Silken Curtain and personal escort of Duke Damarand Allocco of Gran Lago. Cassandra is in her early forties, but her appearance is much younger due to fey glamour that also makes her more beautiful and desirable.
Encounters with the Thanes of Order
Gamble has informed Cassandra of the vision she shared with Shinsuke and her theory that Arpeggio is not dead, but captive in the Feywild. Initially Cassandra is overcome with a feeling of hopelessness. As such, he does not offer any further assistance immediately. Over time, however, she begins to regain her fighting spirit and appears to Gamble using the Dream spell, giving her key information about Fae and the Feywild.Mental characteristics
Personal history
Cassandra came to Paragan by ship and started her life as a tavern girl. After a patron broke into her room and viciously assaulted her, one side of her face was partially disfigured due to fractures in her cheek bone and eye socket. In a broken mirror she prayed for strength, so that no man could take advantage of her ever again, and an otherworldly entity offered her power in return for her first-born child.
The creature was good to its word and granted her the power of Feywild glamour to confuse and entrance mortal men. Using her new abilities to alter her image and influence the minds of others, she rose quickly to become an influential and desirable courtesan. Through her dalliances she conceived two children; Arpeggio and Arietta, both to different fathers (Palaneus Mal’Salma and Duke Damarand Allocco).
