Feywild

The Feywild is a dimensional plane and the home (or ancestral home) to all the Fae. It is a wild magic saturated reflection of the material plane.
It is also the original home of Elves, which explains the unsettled feeling that they have there.
It is a bizarre and tricksy realm, varying wildly and by the whim of powerful minds. Its relationship with the Material Plane is also unstable and when passing between, one may find oneself arrive early or later than expected - perhaps by a number of years...

Accessing the Feywild

Travel between the Material Plane and the Feywild is not easy, but many be achieved in a number of ways. Magic can be used to cast a planar shift spell, as with other planes. However, there are also many tales of mortals and powerful beings intentionally and accidentally slipping between the planes in places where the walls between their realities are weak. Several such locations are known in Ara:

• In the Urwald Forest of North Belegond - When the Elves were first banished from the Feywild by Silvanus, they entered the material plane through a soft spot in these woodlands. This may be the same or a distinct point from that which the Obliviati and a powerful fae tried to exploit before they were thwarted by the Thanes of Order
• The Crooked Tower in Gran Paragan - This is how the Thanes passed into the Feywild to rescue Arpeggio. Following the sacking of Gran Paragan, it is uncertain the current status of this location.

Political Structures

The rules, traditions and politics of the Feywild are so complex and arcane they may seem to the mortal mind to be chaos. Indeed they may be, but to contravene them may incur severe penalties. There are various power structures which wax and wane within the Feywild:
