Duantis
Duantis is the Aran god of the mountains and the earth.
During the The Birth of the Gods and the World, Duantis was responsible for creating the first solid matter. This he formed into earth, rock, stone and ore. His creation was warn away by Mercannan's water and degraded into soils used by Brigantia and Silvanus, much to his irritation.
During the The Creation of the Races, he is attributed to having created the dwarves and the giants, and thus his worships is more common among those communities.
Divine Domains
Duantis is the god of mountains, rock and earth. Further, his is the deity for all that derives from them - ore, metals, salt, gems. Beyond that, his domain includes mining, caves and earthquakes.
As the creator of the Dwarves and Giants, he is particularly revered by them. It is he that those communities seek for aid in the acquisition of wealth, rather than Lugh.
Hiding away from Mercannan's water, Duantis is also the god of isolation. Most non-Dwarven/non-giant followers of Duantis tend to be individuals and hermits.
Divine Symbols & Sigils
Duantis is most commonly represented by a red sun-capped mountain peak. In its most simplified runic version, it is a simple equilateral or isosceles triangle with a circle at the top, or a dot above it. He is also represented through various dwarven and giant runes using the letter D. Gems and jewels can often stand in for a symbol.
