Darius Vittlevottle
A half-orc in the service of House Aurelius, currently serving as Lady Valerie Aurelius' personal entourage alongside his husband, Jasper Vittlevottle.
Darius was born in the vast open plains of the Nord Highlands, a member of one of the nomadic orcish tribes that roam the plains. He was raised a warrior and, as is tradition among his people, sent off upon reaching maturity to find his own glory and bring something of worth back as offering to join a new tribe. He travelled through the Highlands, through Belledance, and later through Anduril, never staying in one place too long. What he sought more than anything was a worthy challenge, and although he found many glorious fights, he was met everywhere with a strange feeling of disconnect. He did not belong anywhere and it bothered him, driving him ever forward.
During the War of the Lions, he was hired by Belledance as a mercenary. It was during that war that he finally found his challenge on the battlefield - a woman with a lance and the authority to carry it. They clashed, and for the first time in a while, Darius suffered a crushing defeat. He was ready to die - for it was the way of his people - but the woman instead acknowledged his skill and offered him employment as her bodyguard. It was only later that he found out that she was a member of nobility of Anduril, the one who would later be known as Lady Valerie Aurelius. She was much younger then, not yet married, but just as set on protecting her people. Darius swore his loyalty to her and has served as her bodyguard ever since.
Years later, Darius met the man he would eventually marry during a raid on a known bandit gang that got too close to the city. Among the otherwise irredeemable lot was a half-elven man named Jasper that Darius grew close with during his imprisonment. The two bonded over the feeling of not belonging anywhere that they both experienced and eventually, Darius offered Jasper a way to avoid execution: to swear loyalty to House Aurelius and serve them faithfully henceforth. Jasper agreed.
Though at first Darius was attached to Jasper as a means to ensure his compliance, the two grew close, eventually developing a romantic relationship. Darius was worried that revealing the affair would get both of them in trouble, as fraternization rules within the City Watch were rather stringent to avoid conflict of interest. By a strange twist of fate, however, Lady Aurelius was already long since in the know about their relationship and allowed them to get married with her blessing. Both Darius and Jasper have been faithfully serving her as her personal bodyguards ever since.

History
They met when Jasper was in prison and Darius was instrumental to Jasper turning his life around, allowing him to serve the Aurelius Household in exchange for his life. Though they still keep their relationship on the downlow due to fraternization rules between knights of the City Watch, they have the blessing of their employer, Lady Aurelius, to be married and work together as her personal guard.
