Jasper Vittlevottle
A half-elf in the service of House Aurelius, currently serving as Lady Valerie Aurelius' personal entourage alongside his husband, Darius Vittlevottle.
Born as a result of an affair between a noblewoman and a city elf, Jasper was abandoned shortly following his birth. At some point, the infant was picked up by a group of bandits, who named him and raised him as their own. He spent much of his childhood crawling through spaces that a grown adult would not be able to fit. As he grew up, he became a bandit in his own right, eventually becoming the leader of the bandit gang that raised him. However, they were eventually arrested during a heist by the personal guard of the Aurelius household. Jasper was sentenced and would have been executed, had it not been for a member of the very guard that caught him vouching for him. During his imprisonment, Jasper had grown close to the guard, finding solace in their shared stories of not belonging anywhere. The guard, Darius, told Jasper that he did not feel at home anywhere until he came into service of Lady Aurelius, and offered to speak to the Duchess on his behalf if he was willing to atone for his crimes by pledging loyalty to the Aurelius family. Jasper agreed, and after several days of consideration, the Aurelius family allowed the former bandit a chance to earn his freedom.
Though Darius was initially attached to Jasper as a means of making sure he stays in line, the two became friends quickly, and then lovers. Their relationship had to be kept secret due to the rules on fraternization between members of City Watch, as both were afraid that if they were found out, one or both of them would be reassigned and they would no longer be able to work together. Unbeknownst to them, however, they were not exactly subtle, and Lady Aurelius was not stupid. She caught on to their affair and, much to their great relief, gave them leave to get married without it affecting their service. Both Jasper and Darius have been working as her faithful bodyguards ever since.

History
They met when Jasper was in prison and Darius was instrumental to Jasper turning his life around, allowing him to serve the Aurelius Household in exchange for his life. Though they still keep their relationship on the downlow due to fraternization rules between knights of the City Watch, they have the blessing of their employer, Lady Aurelius, to be married and work together as her personal guard.
