Each character was minding their own business in the village of Salmund:

• Wiznt discussed a Manatech crystal order with Quasar.
• Balasar read about local fey sightings in the Reader's Haven.
• Malivette was helping out at Grillev's Ironworks.
• Alystin was training his sorcery with Elma.
• Callisto was sleeping after a long night of maintaining Vayla Temple.

The warhorn was blown from the north gate. Gnolls attacked! (Wave 1)

The party defeated the gnoll invasion.

Dara Londmon, the officer of the Order of the Emerald Feather responsible for recruitment, approached with five allies. Dara put her hands up in surrender, and asked to be let inside, claiming that they were no longer working for the Order.

The party decided to allow Dara's party to enter the village. Dara provided information about an incoming incursion today, involving goblins, ogres, giants, and a siege device. She mentioned that the Order has new orders: to kill rather than capture their enemies.

Goblins attacked from both the north and south gates! (Wave 2)

The party and some town guards split ways, and defended both gates at the same time.

A group of order members approached the west side, and began undermining the palisade with the mold earth cantrip. They mages were accompanied by spies and archers. (Wave 3)

The party succesfully defeated the invaders, with the help of both Sheriff Karock and Gregor Finch, the barkeep. One of Alystin's fireballs blasted a hole in the palisade where it was already damaged.

Ogres approached, with a few half-ogres operating a mangonel. (Wave 4)

The mangonel smashed another hole in the palisade. The party defeated the ogres and incinerated the siege weapon.

Karock thanked everyone for their assistance, but was interrupted by one more warhorn: hill giants were attacking! (Wave 5)

The party defeated the hill giants before they reached the palisade breach.

Karock thanked the party, awarding them each a house in the village along with a pile of gold.
