Blacktyde

Blacktyde is the capital of the Helspire Islands, a windswept, barren, and barely fertile kingdom. Blacktyde is no different, and thus raises a hardy, fierce, and individualistic people. The island of Blacktyde is as bustling port as can be in these regions, mostly trading between the islands themselves. It is also a marshaling point for the great Kraken Fleets of old, when the lords the Helspire Islands would gather in great numbers in times of need.
It is also the seat of  Kraken Lord Bashag the Reaper , the king of the Helspire islands, and leader of the islands. The Kraken Lord is an elected position, and can be anyone on the islands, so long as they have sailed as a raider before. There are histories of great commoners lifted up to become the Kraken Lord, who have gone on to lead some of the greatest Kraken Fleets.
The village itself is small, dank, and smells of saltwater. Fish is the primary food here, with small amounts of wheat products. The drink of choice is a thick dark wine made from fermented seaweed. It'sv village streets zig zag all over the windswept dramatic cliffs that face near the water. The large village is on an incline, and ascends further up into the Iron Mountains. On the outskirts of the city lies a handful of mining camps and towns used to craft the great weapons that the Helspire Islanders use in battle.
The buildings here are small and modest, save for the Seastone Castle, seat of the Kraken Lord. The castle extends out over the water, worn by the constant thrashing of the oceans.
