House Dunkil

A dwarven noble family under House Orlean, they are probably the richest family within the Kingdoms of Arden, with their mines in Goldtooth bringing them wealth beyond all imagination. They were an independent kingdom for many centuries, but when the Royal Knights gathered, they struck a bargain with the Orleans. In return for their loyalty and their pledge to the royal house, they got to maintain control over the lonely mountain. They pay a small tithe relative to their wealth, and are happy to dig deeper and deeper into the earth. They use their wealth to influence Kingdom politics in Kingsgarden, buying off spies and merchant guilds, pushing forth their influence around Arden. The Houses that pledge fealty are House Aviar of Galantwood , House Bel'Thien of Harlen, and House Rayne of Deepwood Motte.
