Calial is one of
The Primarchs, a powerful member of the
Infernals known for her use of manipulation, lies, and seduction to achieve her ends.
Calial rules over the
Ashfell region of Netheriss, an area filled with treacherous labyrinths, sheer obsidian and slender spires of glass and iron. Calial herself appears as a slender, beautiful female Infernal, though given her deceitful nature and mastery of illusion magic, many doubt that her regular appearance is accurate. Infernals loyal to her claim Calial can take on the form of anything she chooses, and there are rumours that her true form is more hideous than anything found in the darkest pits of
The Void.
A brilliant schemer and tactician in her own right, Calial has expertly pitted the other Primarchs against each other, stoking the flames of conflict and strife with false words and deeds. She is among the most patient of her fellow Primarchs, willing to wait however long it takes for the absolute best opportunity to present itself. Her deception towards her fellow kin is by far her greatest feat.
Calial is known to be fluent in all languages and forms of communication, though she is far from all-knowing. There exist stories of mortals actually earning her favor, if they somehow manage to surprise or deceive her. While they are considered enemies, there are some that believe she is on speaking terms with the Prime
Ancient Faust, given their somewhat similar domains.
Among the most outlandish rumors is the one concerning her and the
Ancient Dulcis. Apparently the one creature that has never been fooled by her throughout their shared existence, Calial harbors an unhealthy adoration towards the reclusive Ancient of knowledge that borders on romantic. The notion that Dulcis returns these feelings is highly unlikely.
