Ashfell

"Seven Evils spawned from seven ideals. Seven regions birthed from fire and blood. Infested, unending, cycles upon cycles." Ashfell is the home realm of the Infernals, and is a realm of evil, albiet a strictly organized evil. It is commonly referred to as the 'Seven Hells', as the plane is divided into seven regions, each ruled over by one of The Primarchs, the seven most powerful Infernals. With the primarchs and their forces constantly in conflict with each other, the territory lines of Ashfell are constantly shifting, oftentimes with multiple Primarchs laying claim over the same area. The only section of Ashfell that is loosely considered neutral territory is Inferno's Heart, located in the approximate center of the realm. It is used as an occasional meeting place for "diplomatic" relations between the Primarchs, and as an anchor for any teleportation magics entering the realm. Much of Ashfell's topography is characterized by rocky wastelands with rivers of blood and fire, labyrinths of canyons, sheer mountains with hot ash peaks, and giant crevasses. Each of the seven regions are slightly unique and usually mirror the malevolent characteristics of their ruler, or perhaps the Infernals are shaped by the domains they scheme to control; no one is certain. The exact origins of Ashfell's creation are also uncertain. While some believe that the realm was created from the same negative emotions that gave birth to the Infernals (which is also only a theory), others who believe in the existence of the Numina think Ashfell to be the result of the primordial beings casting off all of their negative thoughts and emotions.
