Kallowgard

Kallowgard is the Oreion Inquisition's most northern city, nestled near the mountain border Oreion shares with the wilds of Frigus. Functioning as a hub for many northern settlements, Kallowgard is among the oldest of Oreion settlements, with parts of the city having been built before the Inquisition was formed by Alexandros Mengsk.
The city has served a variety of purposes over the Third Age. Prospective soldiers for The Veiled Hand used to be sent to Kallowgard as a major part of their training, having to adapt to the harsher climate. At one time the city functioned as a defending fortress during raids from the Orcish tribe of Coryza in Frigus.
Lady Olena Romalla rules the city and surrounding region from the formidable Romalla Castle, whose giant tower has a constantly lit beacon that functions similarly to that of a sea lighthouse. To the immediate south of Kallowgard lies Balorpost, a small village that many of the locals jokingly refer to as 'Kallowgard's Welcome Mat', though with a degree of fondness.
During the Oreion Civil War, Kallowgard functions as the center for the northern army's military operations and planning, and may be the very last defensible position the north has should the southern army continue to succeed in pushing their way north.
