Rhysar
Tales of these beasts have been whispered throughout Arora for as long as memory serves, and their mystique only grows with each passing generation. The Rhysar have played a significant role in shaping the world's history, acting as both creators and destroyers. The people of Arora tell countless stories of these creatures, often with conflicting details, but all agree that they are awe-inspiring in their power and majesty.
The Ferhys, or Fey, are the smallest and most benign of the Rhysar. While clearly biological beings, the Ferhys have a strikingly mechanical appearance, their metallic and angular forms reminiscent of the designs of ancient tinkerers. Their bodies appear to be crafted from a shining silver-grey metal, and they move with a fluid, yet stiff, gait, giving the impression that they are always performing a predetermined function. Despite their appearance, the Ferhys are completely harmless and are often found aiding civilised races and animals alike. They seem imbued with a life-giving magic that heals the injured and repairs structures. They are often seen as helpers and are loved by animals and people alike.
The Werhys, on the other hand, are ferocious monsters, twisted versions of larger animals, coated in Ferrousto that appears like scales. They are known for their aggression and ferocity, often attacking anything that dares to enter their territory. They are found in all corners of the world, from the dark forests of Valenfar to the burning sands of Safah. They are fearsome creatures, and tales of their attacks are told around campfires throughout Arora.
Daerhys are even more dangerous, with origins shrouded in mystery. They are believed to be twisted creations of a long-forgotten age, living weapons of war imbued with Ferrousto and powerful magic. Some believe they were created by the old god Casmios to dominate the other races. Others believe they are the result of experiments by the Tordera or the work of malevolent entities. Whatever their origin, it is agreed upon that they are capable of unleashing destruction and chaos wherever they go, leaving only death and ruin in their wake.
Wyrmar, the Dragons of Arora, are colossal winged creatures made entirely of Ferrousto. They are rarely seen but leave no doubt about their existence when they appear. They are capable of unleashing devastating attacks, breathing fire, acid, toxic gas, or concentrated light that can melt anything. Some say they are protectors of the Ferrousto or the Rhysar, but others believe they are the most dangerous of all creatures, holding the key to untold power.
The Siriat, or Striders, are the largest and most mysterious of all the Rhysar. These colossal beasts the size of large buildings calmly wander the planet, seemingly restoring the wastelands to habitable states. Their movements are slow and deliberate, their presence bringing a sense of wonder and awe to those who witness them. Some believe they are spirits of the earth, while others believe they are the gods themselves. They are worshipped by some as a force of nature to be revered and respected, while others fear them as harbingers of doom.
The Rhysar are a constant source of wonder and danger, inspiring both reverence and fear. No one can say for sure what the future holds for these magnificent creatures, but their place in the history and culture of Arora is secure.
