Empire of Meynar (May-Narr)

After the Great Deluge, what was known has the Radhaputni region was divided in two, giving birth to two peninsulas. On the Eastern peninsula, known as the Kham Sak Peninsula, resides the Meynari Empire.   The peninsula, once wide spreading jungle of Radhaputni, which gave name to the region, has since retreated to the South side of the area and spread to the pockets of islands that have emerged with the Great Deluge.   The Meynari Empire occupied the whole region before the Great Deluge, though the shattering of the region into two peninsulas eventually led to the divide of the Empire. The Indraprasthans revolted against the Empire and the royal family, no longer feeling represented with such a divide. The Meynari royal family afraid the revolt would spread throughout the whole empire, decided then, through a series of difficult meetings and years, to delegate the Western Peninsula of Indra to the local powers.   With the independence of Indraprastha complete, the Meynari then quickly started quenching the minor revolts of the imperialists who were outraged for the empire's division.   Nowadays, those days of rebellion are in the past, and the Meynari rise once again as a solid nation. Their once wide spreading caravans have given place to a bulky fleet, their scope covering most of the eastern part of the human kingdoms.   The once thick jungles in the North, now forced to the South, have given place to wide rice paddies covering the area, making it an important piece of the Meynari economy and gastronomy.   Their buildings architecture hasn't lost the fascination of foreigners, with it's hive shaped and alien looking pinnacles spread through their cities.   The once heavy presence of the clergy has been deeply shaken by the calamity and while they still have a place in the society. Indeed, the calamity brought a sudden surge of spontaneous arcane casters to their society, their union rising as one of the most prominent. Known as the Elephant Room, this group is now deeply carved into the Empire's politics.   The Southern part of the territory continues to be as untamed as before, pockets of civilization still thrive amidst the thick jungle, with remote villages serving as a means to rest between jungle trips.   The calamity also brought out some of the jungle's denizens out of the hiding. These elusive animals, the dinosaurs, seeing their territory reduced, have now started hunting for food closer to humans. This brought a wealthy opportunity to the Meynari, who started taming these massive creatures to their bidding. Nowadays, these exotic animals are seen as part of their society, and a foreigners delight to behold.   The Meynari continue their traditional warfare like before the Great Deluge, preferring to focus on guerrilla warfare, but now they unleash their armies filled in their ranks with dinosaurs ready for war, wielding their traditional swords, the Dha, with expertise.   Their martial artists are also prized through the continent. Dedicated to a school of combat known as the Bokator, these unarmed brawlers are known to wield their fists (and some weapons) with unyielding constraint.   Meynari are usually short, with up to 1.60m tall. They tend to be bronze skinned, dark haired, big wide slanted eyes. They love to wear ornate and exotic helmets, traditional from the empire. In the daily life, they wear clothing, known as a sampot, while men use also a krama, a cloth that can be used to cover the neck, as a hat or a headband. They usually wear facial assets like earrings, mostly made of ivory.

Main Hub

Jasogapurna

After the collapse of the former capital, Nan Anghkem, to the Great Deluge, engulfed by the seas, the Meynari migrated their capital to the city of Jasogapurna, on the shoreline of the new Gulf of Meynar.   The city works as an important port for the region and it's docks are always filled with newcomers, who marvel in awe to the alien shaped hive towers of the city. The docks are filled with gambling dens, where foreigners money gets sunk in those pits, enriching the local economy.   The cities spires harbor the new palace, the clergy but the city also harbors the new big shots of the empire, the Elephant Room.   The city is wide spread, with the more simple folk covering most of the land, building with small spires as homes. The innards of the city have the taller spires, where the societies elite gaze below to the city.   The market district is immense, with people shouting from their shacks or small spires to attract costumers.
