At 2nd level, the cavalier gains a deep understanding of traditional Meynari weapons. He gains a +2 bonus to damage rolls when using these weapons, but he can also choose a new aspect of weapon proficiency unique to his order. To accomplish this, he must meditate for at least one hour every morning, after that he can choose one aspect which will stay in place until it's next rest:
- Weapon Focus (Meynari Weapon): The cavalier gains the "Weapon Focus" feat with one traditional Meynari weapon of his choice, improving his accuracy with that weapon.
- Flourish of Heritage: The cavalier gains the ability to perform traditional Meynari weapon flourishes, granting him a +2 bonus to his CMB when attempting disarm or sunder combat maneuvers with a traditional Meynari weapon.
- Defensive Stance: The cavalier can adopt a defensive stance when wielding a traditional Meynari weapon. While in this stance, he gains a +2 bonus to his Armor Class against melee attacks.
Ancestral Techniques (Ex)
At 8th level, the cavalier can invoke the ancient techniques passed down through generations of Meynari warriors. As a swift action, he can choose one of the following techniques to employ for a number of rounds equal to his Charisma modifier. He can use this ability a number of times per day equal to half his cavalier level (minimum 1):
- Meynari Precision: The cavalier gains a +4 competence bonus on attack rolls and a critical threat range increase of 1 when using a traditional Meynari weapon.
- Shield of Heritage: The cavalier gains a +4 dodge bonus to his Armor Class when wielding a traditional Meynari weapon.
- Blessing of Ancestors: The cavalier's chosen traditional Meynari weapon becomes keen, granting it a critical threat range of 17-20.
Meynari Weaponcraft (Ex)
At 15th level, the cavalier's understanding of Meynari weaponry reaches its peak. He gains the ability to enhance his chosen traditional Meynari weapon with magical properties. Once per day, as a full-round action, he can infuse his weapon with one of the following enhancements for a number of rounds equal to his Charisma modifier:
- Dancing Weapon: The weapon gains the "dancing" special ability, allowing it to attack independently and make an extra attack per round.
- Meynari Elemental Strike: The weapon becomes charged with elemental power (fire, cold, electricity, or acid) and deals an additional 2d6 points of energy damage with each successful hit.
- Heritage of War: The weapon temporarily gains the "holy," "unholy," "axiomatic," or "anarchic" special ability, depending on the cavalier's alignment, granting it additional damage against creatures of opposing alignments.
Meynari Weapon Mastery (Ex)
At 20th level, the cavalier's mastery of traditional Meynari weapons reaches its zenith. He gains the following abilities:
- Weapon Perfection: The cavalier's chosen traditional Meynari weapon becomes an extension of himself. He can use his Charisma modifier instead of his Strength or Dexterity modifier for attack and damage rolls when using this weapon. Additionally, his critical threat range with the chosen weapon increases by 1 (e.g., from 19-20 to 18-20).
- Legacy of Heroes: The cavalier's name and deeds are celebrated for generations to come, and he is remembered as a legendary figure in Meynari culture. This status grants him the unwavering respect and loyalty of all Meynari people, and he becomes a symbol of their heritage. Additionally, the cavalier's chosen traditional Meynari weapon is forever imbued with his essence, becoming a powerful artifact. This weapon gains the "holy" or "unholy" special ability (depending on the cavalier's alignment) and deals an additional 2d6 points of damage against creatures of opposing alignments. The weapon also becomes a focus for his cavalier abilities, allowing him to expend one use of his challenge or order abilities through it, even at a range.
