Everlasting Alloy

Everlasting Alloy is the name given to the strange, archaic metal which the great Constructs of the alien beings known as the Ash Gods are made of. Presumably, it is also the material which comprised their trans-galactic starships, in which they arrived on Earth, though nothing whatsoever is known of these mysterious craft. The Constructs dominate the landscape of Ashrain and are, as far as human resistance movements such as the Uprising are aware, virtually indestructible, resistant to all but the most destructive of explosive forces. It is therefore hardly surprising that fragments of the alien metal are exceedingly rare; however, specimens have been found by human survivors, perhaps lost during the inferno of entry into the Earth's atmosphere, or the intense grinding created at the base of the Constructs where they bore deep into the crust of the new world. One such specimen is the artifact known as the Saashein Tablet, supposedly a document inscribed in an unreadable language which details the Ash Gods' plans for the planet and for the survivors of humanity. The religious organization known as the Ash Zealots venerate the tablet as their defining religious text, though they consider its contents to be unreadable and any attempt at translation to be blasphemy. The ORM has also acquired a fragment of one of the Constructs, which they have used to study the aliens and the nature of their technology. However, due to the virtually impenetrable nature of the metal, they have gleaned very, very little from their intensive analysis. The only information they have been able to ascertain is that the material is so durable and dense that only a cataclysmic explosion would release sufficient force to destroy the Constructs if they are indeed made of this strange metal. Only the explosion generated from, for example, a nuclear detonation. As such, the ORM has ceaselessly sought former human military industrial complex in search of nuclear devices with which they might combat the Ash Gods and reclaim the planet now known as @Ashrfor humanity.
