Novus Energy

Novus Energy is the essence of The Abyss, it is the air, the sky, everything that emanates from the depths of this infinite ocean dimension.   It is widely commercialised in the production and creation of Novus Demons and their sub-species.   Novus Energy in its raw estate is highly volatile and dangerous to living-beings as it causes rapid corrosion and mutation on carbon-based entities. Properties

Material Characteristics

Novus Energy is nearly invisible to the naked eye, a use of Detect Magic depicts the energy as a faint, red-coloured fog. It also behaves as such, meaning that it can be moved around by external forces such as wind.

Physical & Chemical Properties

Novus Energy contains little perceptible physical properties as it generally tends to go unnoticed by unprepared creatures. To the physical touch, however, when a creature touches a concentration of Novus Energy, the applied area tends to undergo rapid mutation and decomposition into a material very similar to the substance secreted by Novus Demons .

Compounds

Novus energy is used as a major ingredient on the creation of Novus Demons alongside concentrated Novus Energy stored inside instances of Spellshard Technology .

Geology & Geography

Novus Energy originates in abundance from The Abyss and can be collected by opening a Gate to the plane of existence.

Life & Expiration

Raw Novus Energy has a half-life of half a decade. This can be extended indefinitely by storing it inside a Spellshard Crystal.

Odor
Although it is invisible to the naked eye, Novus Energy leaves behind a faint smell of rusted metal. This can aid in the detection of natural collections of Novus Energy, leaks in storage or possible leaks in a Gate.
