The Secondhand Scribe

In a small chamber of an upper fortification is The Secondhand Scribe, a measly display of preserved knowledge. Only a small scattering of books burden the table within and few if any appear to be old enough to hold any real value. The bugbear Brosk Druwar the Scholar spends his days musing over stained parchments. He will scriven whatever anyone needs, write letters at request, and he even sells what tomes and scrolls he can - though he will buy them most fervently. You get the feeling that he isn't so much trying to run a business as he is trying to expand his collection.

By combining his resources and collection of tomes from his shop with that of Kohdama the Blind Seer's, Brosk taught the party many things during their time at the Bastion, and was responsible for starting The Codex for the party.
