The North Continent

The North Continent, as it is called by its inhabitants, is the most variously populated continent in Astora.
To the far north is the frozen wastes, a largely uninhabited tundra.
South of the frozen wastes is an expanse of cold desert. These lands are only recently inhabited, as the Alliance expands their holdings.
The core of the continent is made up of the Causter Forest.
To the south and east of the Causter is largely plains, and the majority of the population.
Immediately southeast of the Causter is the Dead Lands, a large ruin surrounded by an aura that guarantees a slow death for all who enter.
The furthest south point of the continent is a swampy land bridge to the South Continent.

Shah-Halla	South of Causter, at the base of the Trenzyn Mountains . Furthest west of the United Cities	Shah-Halla is the most recently established of the United Cities. It was founded in the wake of peace treaties signed with the Orc Warbands, to be a center of culture for all peoples. Today, it stands as the second most populous city, behind Bermuda.
Citadella	South of the Dead Lands, in the Aurus Mountains. It is the southern point of a diamond formed by the four original cities.	The first of the United Cities to be founded, Citadella is also the oldest home of the dwarves. Military  and manufacturing capital of the cities.
Aliastra	East of Causter, it is the northern point of a diamond formed by the four original cities.	The second of the United Cities to be founded, Aliastra is primarily a farming community made up of mostly humans. It is the least populous and most racist of the cities. Host to Nalmorra, the school of magic, as well as the Ruby Tower.
Bermuda	East of the Dead Lands, in Rimteurel Bay. It is the eastern point of a diamond formed by the four original cities.	The third of the United Cities to be founded. Most populous of the cities, its people are primarily humans and elves. Trade capital of the world.
Deimos	West of the Dead Lands, in the Causter Forest. It is the western point of a diamond formed by the four original cities.	The fourth of the United Cities to be founded. It was destroyed decades ago, and has since been overrun with goblins.
Kinapur	On the northern edge of the Causter Forest.	Capital of the Alliance of Free Animalfolk. Founded only 40 years ago, but has grown substantially very quickly.
Errant Skydock	On Errant Peak, highest peak of the Trenzyn Mountains.	Primary outpost of the The Godless  in the North Continent. Not even the governments of the United Cities know its precise location.
