Amazing isn't it? A message from here, to anywhere else in the entire Galaxy of Astraesto in mere seconds, possibly the whole Universe. All it took was a little retrofitting of our FTL engines onborad the Colonial ships, genius right?

Faster Than Light Communication, or FTL Communication, is the primary method of interplanetary communication within the Galaxy of Astraesto and its several populated satellite galaxies. Much like Faster Than Light Travel, the exact specifications that allow Faster Than Light Communication to work are unclear, though, unlike FTL travel, FTL Communication was developed within the Galaxy of Astraesto. Specifically, engineers and researchers of the early Human colonisation of the Galaxy, were able to utilize the Faster Than Light engines aboard the colonial vessels that brought them to the Galaxy, to perform rudimentary - though highly successful, communications between The First City and the remains of the Colonial Fleet.
Over the centuries and later millennia that would follow this early discovery, the technology would be refined, remodelled, and recreated, with numerous individuals adding their intellect to the issue. In the modern day, the technology has become so powerful and reliable, that communications can reach across nations in mere seconds. Notably however, especially for military and intelligence agencies around the Galaxy, it is near impossible to fully encrypt any message sent using FTL Communication, and theoretically, anyone with a strong enough device could intercept whatever messages they so chose.
