Undercommon

Undercommon is a trade language spoken by the majority of intelligent races native to the Underdark. It is a bastardized and simplified version of Elvish developed by drow. Speakers of Undercommon include aboleths, chuul, drow, duergar, dwarves, gith, kobolds, kuo-toa, orcs, svirfneblin, and mind flayers.

Writing System

Undercommon uses Espruar script.

Phonology

Undercommon is described as sounding like a guttural and deep Elvish, not dissimilar from Black Speech of the Tolkien universe.
