Personal history
Born to the 108th Saurian Imperator on High Sauril in Klal’El, then Crown Prince Aku was his first and only known child. As such, Aku was greatly prized by the Imperator, partially due to the fact that many in House Va’Kai were beginning to fear he would never continue his bloodline. Because of his vital importance to the continuation of House Va’Kai in the ruling class of the Saurian Empire, Aku was trained since the moment he could walk to take his father’s place when the time came, being taught everything from governmental policies, to internal politics and intricacies of the empire, to personal combat and defense against the greatly feared possibility of assassination attempts. Some speculate that his vital importance and necessity of the precautions taken to protect him may have effected Aku’s relationship with his father, but as the intrapersonal affairs of the imperial family are very intentionally not made public knowledge, this is only speculation.
From a young age Aku took special interest in the isolation, or lack there of, of the Klal’El galaxy in the universe. He regularly gazed into the stars with any high powered telescope he could get his hands on, as well as copious amounts of ready any scientific articles and journals he could find. Evidently, some individuals took note of this interest as a renowned scientist would eventually use this passion as a weapon against House Va’Kai, tricking Aku into leaving Klal’El with an entire colony fleet, never to return. Aku was determined, however, to not let the Saurian Empire’s fate be lost along with the memories of the only witnesses as they died out, instead ordering his fleet to find a new galaxy to establish a foothold in. Eventually this was achieved upon discovery of the Avendora galaxy, and after a rather arduous war to both make room for their new empire and to rid the galaxy of its vile Lizard presence (in the Lizard Extermination Campaign), the new Saurian Empire was rapidly acknowledged as one of the most powerful superpowers in Avendora.
Sexuality
Somewhat strangely, even after thousands of years of existence, Aku has never been in a serious romantic relationship (at least none that are known). Ironically, this has lead some in the Saurian Empire to the same concerns as were levied against Aku’s father back in Klal’El so many years ago, but Aku has never officially commented on these concerns.
Education
Aku has been highly educated on almost every topic relevant to governance one could imagine, along with many others. Even after his very comprehensive Imperatorial education had concluded, Aku continued to further his knowledges and skill in both politics and the sciences. Aku has even demonstrated skills in the tactics of warfare and admiralty, though he is humble enough to know when members of his cabinet are more versed than himself, and thus his right hand, Supreme Admiral Vahlda, was placed in charge of the Empire’s fleets, with Supreme General Magnus taking the land warfare category.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Aku considers one of his greatest achievements to be the proposition and eventual signing and ratification of the Alphega Accords, though the other governmental, social, and military achievements accomplished at his hands are to numerous to easily put a number to.
