Taiys was a playable character in Wraiths. He was a half-Ir half-Varisian human born in the season of Irev, the prodigal son of Varys and Aavarq Ir'uus and the father of Kaoru (with Hitomi). He was an exile of the Ir Tribe who sought asylum with Akagawa and entreated the Blades of Tranquility for aid with preventing the ruin of the world.

Introspective, empathetic, thoughtful.
Regretful, possessive, fierce.
He needed to find the truth of Aypavoc.
He wished to prevent his tribe from completing Irev's emblem and resurrecting him due to suspicions that it would also release an ancient evil.
This led to him being an outcast and a traitor to his deeply zealous people, of which his twin brother swore to put him down.
Before serving as a Wraith, he was worshipped as a demi-deity.
Rumors say that he enjoyed painting and gardening.
His asylum with Akagawa was largely kept a secret, as the other Wraiths feared how their people would react to him.
His deific weapon was a greatstaff made of dragon bone.
He had a foreign dialect and struggled with Akagawan language, so mostly refrained from speaking.

Notes

He enjoyed the company of the Wraiths for sharing his views that the safety of the world was more important than their historic feud. His tarot card is the Hanged Man, symbolizing sacrifice; release; martyrdom and, if reversed, stalling; needless sacrifice; fear of sacrifice.
