Aikawa Hitomi

Hitomi was a playable character in Wraiths. She was an Akagawan human born under Fastid's season, and was the mother of Kaoru (with Taiys). She was enigmatic and understood by few, but her position as High Sorceress made her an undeniable asset to the defense of Akagawa, so her eccentricities were tolerated.

She needed to find an application for her magical talent.
She enjoyed uncovering secrets and forbidden knowledge.
Due to the forbidden nature of magic, the Aikawa family has long been the sole practitioners of it in Akagawa, leading many to be suspicious of them.
As a High Sorceress, her job was to study the arcane in case other kingdoms happened to uncover it and use it against Akagawa.
She deeply enjoyed the forbidden and uncharted nature of her work and cared little for what others thought.
Rumors said she had a penchant for romance novels and that she and the empress had once had an affair.
Ultimately, she Conflicted and sacrificed herself to cast the magic which bound Irev's emblem into Fang, hoping to prevent the undoing of the Apostle's seal this way. Even if Akio hadn't killed her, she would have died of blood loss due to the spell.
Her deific weapon were the tattoos she had inscribed in her body with ink mixed with Fastid's blood, allowing her to cast magic with greater freedom.
Her manner of speech was slow and leisurely with excessive pauses.

Notes

She deeply enjoyed Taiys's company, and their relationship was quite controversial. In Japanese, 瞳 (hitomi) means pupil of the eye. Her tarot card, the Magician, means willpower; desire; creation; manifestation and, if reversed, trickery; illusions; out of touch.
