Champion's Conquest

Champion's Conquest is a spring holiday in Azimuth. It is celebrated yearly on 19 Adroth, the anniversary of the Battle of the Demons' Blood Marshes and the ending of The Great War. The holiday is a celebration of the defeat of Esturk, The World's End, and his armies at the end of the Third Age.

Description

The Great War was an extended conflict at the end of the Third Age between the forces of Esturk, The World's End, and the peoples of Azimuth. The war lasted for a century until the Battle of the Demons' Blood Marshes.
After a grand assault which landed on the northern coast of Tarteria, the armies of Azimuth, the Zenethian Champions, and Zenthai, The Dragon King, fought in the greatest battle of the age: The Battle of the Demons' Blood Marshes. Though costly, the successful victory of this battle brought about the end of the Great War and saved Azimuth from destruction.
Starting in the Fourth Age, the anniversary of the final battle is celebrated across Azimuth in honor of the heroic deeds of the Zenethian Champions.

Though surviving records are scarce, it is believed the battle started on 19 Adroth 3A 2092.
