Clan Oathenhammer
Clan Oathenhammer is a major dwarven familial clan, primarily located in Endor, the First Mountain, the capital of the Kingdom of Endor.
They are a long-reigning dynasty of dwarven kings who have ruled over the city of Endor since the late Third Age.
Description
Clan Oathenhammer is one of the four major dwarven clans of Endor, the First Mountain. The Oathenhammer clan has held the title High King for generations of dwarves. The clan's secondary branches function as leaders for Endor’s city guards, the Steelshields, as members of the royal guards, the Mithril Guard, and also as the commanders of the military forces, the Gromril Army. High King Thorik Oathenhammer is an elderly and battle-hardened leader that has led the dwarves of Endor since the late Fourth Age. He is revered as a level-headed leader that stands for fairness and truth. His word is his bond, sometimes to a stubborn degree. The clan is wide-ranging and their family tree encompasses a number of smaller subsidiary clans under them, as well as smaller service clans that function under them as well.Locations
As the leaders of Endor, the head family of the clan resides in the Dawi Zakhaz, Hall of Dwarf Kings. Additionally, Clan Oathenhammer has households and holdings in the Rhun Zorn, or Level of Runes, in Endor. Some of the smaller, subsidiary or branch clans have holdings in the Throng Zorn, the Level of Clans.- Dawi Zakhaz, Hall of Dwarf Kings: The dwarvish capital building, which is both the head of government and where High King Thorik Oathenhammer and members of the royal line reside.
- Mausoleum of Dwarf Lords: A large burial site holding the remains of several generations of Clan Oathenhammer dwarves, including High King Faldrick Oathenhammer.
- Clan Oathenhammer Holdings: Clan Oathenhammer maintains their clan holdings in the Rhun Zorn.
Notable People
- High King Thorik Oathenhammer: The current head of the clan and High King of Endor. He particpated in several battles of the Manslayer War.
- Bernar Az-Baraz: The current head of the Gromril Army underneath High King Thorik, rumored to be a descendant of Queen Gundra Oathenhammer.
- Gertrude Oathenhammer: Member of a side branch of the primary line, she is a priestess of the Zenethian faith and member of the Lightbringers.
