Navivert

The Navivert was a human military vessel of the Kingdom of Konenbur constructed in the Fourth Age. It participated in several major engagments, before it was sunk during its last voyage, an event known as the Navivert Disaster.

Description

The Navivert was a large and grand sailing vessel of the Kingdom of Konenbur navy. The ship was decorated with a coating of orichalcum scales, marking as one of the elite vessels of the Greenscales.
After the fall of both Gardenbur and Cascada, there was a drive by Konenbur to become a major human sea power in the region. This drive was the impetus of the construction of two grand vessels in the Fourth Age. The Navivert and her sister ship, the Plunaire, were both named after great figures from Konenbur's past.

History

The Fourth Age: The Age of Shadow

Using the influx of orichalcum into the lands of Konenbur, the Navivert and her sister ship, the Plunaire, were constructed.
After the events of Typhoon's Wake, Konenbur invaded the elven colony of Sinatold. The Navivert was involved with the siege of the Sinatold port.
During the Manslayer War, the Navivert engaged the minotaur vessels of Parthenia. By late 4A 996, Konenbur had lost control of the Rend and fighting took place in the Seafoam Sea.
In Drimon 4A 996, the Konburian and Sorettan fleets pushed a naval attack in the Rend to occupy the Parthenian navy vessels there as part of a ploy to occupy a segment of the minotaur fleet.

The Fifth Age: The Age of Beginnings

In the wake of the Manslayer War, cultural changes in Konenbur led to a push to end the monarchy. As this was ongoing, many of the ruling elite, along with the royal family of Konenbur, boarded the Navivert and sailed into the Gimora Sea. A rogue storm struck, said to be the will of Sehakora, The Maelstrom.
The ship was sunk and lost to the waters. There were no known survivors. This would come to be known as the Navivert Disaster.
