Tchakoni, Rewoven

All around the coastlines of the Tchakoni Ocean, and all around the world, the past month has been a time of trials, suffering and loss for many. The events of May 20th, already referred to as the T'waran Incident, the Kapwa Disaster or simply Stationfall, have continued to ripple out into a series of cascading tragedies and struggles for those who are least fortunate. However, in these times of travesty, hope endures. In her address yesterday, Chancellor Vician Ordo announced the formation of the T'waran Weave, a global coalition committed to not only the restoration of the Tchakoni region, but also future cases of international aid, and the prevention of future attacks of the same nature. At the time of the announcement, six nations across the globe (and orbiting around it), as well as two influential non-state powers have joined the Weave, but interest from both leaders and the global populace continues to grow. While government organizations send aid in the form of personnel, Manna, and lenient trade deals with those in the disaster areas, food and spiritual relief from the Congregation of Olorun, as well as medical supplies and mobile hospitals developed and provided by the Red Lily Corporation have given many hope for the first time. Meanwhile, assistance and refugee support flood in from orbit as all thirteen colonies of the Ju'ri People's Republic, providing not only assistance on the ground for those affected by the disaster, but a new home among the stars for those now without their own.   "It could have very well been us," commented Stenco Welton, a leader of the Ju'Ri financial committee during an interview, "but that's not why we're here. Not the main reason. This whole thing happened when we were at our peak, ready to prove that we've moved past pure self-interest and help one another at the most dire of times. I'm not gonna' count my eggs and say this is the worst things will ever get, but I will say this: whenever things do get their darkest, we gotta be here for each other. It's as simple as that."   In addition to the relief efforts, the T'waran Weave also includes the formation of a high-level investigative task force to discern and apprehend the culprits. As of writing, no individuals or organizations have claimed responsibility for the attacks.

Jessit Akheem: World Police

For the first time since their integration with global police forces, the Jessit Ahkeem released a public statement about their planet-wide commitment to reducing the presence of organized crime. In addition to statistic reports given out to local police forces in the affected areas, Jefferson "Tuggy" Tugwell , the omni-net celebrity acting as financial manager and public relations representative for the Jessit Akheem, released the following statement, "The Jessit Akheem are often seen as, like, terrorists, but that's totally not it. We're good guys, gals, and other types of pals, and we wanna prove it. Organized crime is like, super lame and a total bummer, and we want people to be safe and happy and stuff, so we'll take care of it. If anyone out there wants to support us, you can head over to your local JA recruitment center- we're a cultural movement, yeah, but you don't gotta be Jessit to lend a hand. And if that's not something you can do, you can help by checking out my stream next Saturday and leaving a donation. 'Nuta Buam,' much love!"   In spite of this commitment to global peace, many local authorities accuse the Jessit Akheem of propping up the very criminal organizations they have dedicated themselves to cleaning out, though no evidence has arisen to support these claims. As of writing, the Jessit Akheem have not signed on as members of the T'waran Weave.

Hakara Strikes Back

After a series of unprovoked strikes against member nations of the League of Hakara by their neighbors in Naadi, Emilena Vi'Saan authorized a coordinated series of counter-attacks, swiftly taking three Naadi cities in response. Despite the morale boost of their rapid initial success, the fighting has ground to a standstill as the Hakaran people rally to bring the conflict to their many begrudged enemies. Rumors of a return to the Vi'Saan Ascendency that nearly shattered the system thirty years ago remain unconfirmed.
