Death
Penn's death came at the hands of the Yuan-ti, followers of the nameless one. Their leader, Sulvagren, captured Penn due to his noble birth, intending to use him as a vessel for the evil spirit known only as the Risen King. In a gruesome ritual, Penn's heart was removed from his chest. Although Tama and his party managed to defeat Sulvagren before the sacrament could be completed, Tama's soul did not respond to the call for resurrection. At the Bastion, the party sought help from Brother Marus Solstice to resurrect Penn. However, Penn did not answer Marus's call either. It was then that Tama witnessed a horrific transformation: Marus twisted and contorted, and a devilish voice asked Tama if he wanted Penn back. The possessed Marus reached into the air and grabbed Penn's ethereal soul. Penn's soul reached for Tama, but Tama refused to make a deal with the dark being. In response, the being tore Penn's soul apart, claiming him as fuel for the furnace. Tama awoke from this vision to find Marus claiming that when he touched Tama's shoulder, he saw the city of Dis. The haunting memory of Penn's final moments and the dark choice he faced would forever linger in Tama's mind, a reminder of the cruel twists of fate and the sacrifices made in the struggle against darkness.Relationships
