Brian Braddock (a.k.a. Captain Britain)
He was the lover of
Roger Aubrey and reached out to the Falsworth family following his disappearance. He becomes a cousin of sorts to
Brian Falsworth, who is a few years younger, and tries to support as much as he is able.
He is still part of
Crusaders until they break apart to join the
Protectors in 2000. In that time many of them go on a mission to destroy what
HYDRA has been able to rebuild of the
Winter Soldier program. In doing so they rescue
Roger Aubrey who rejoins his lover and works with the
Protectors.
Physical Description
On his wn, Brian has some extra physical abilities as well as martial arts training that his parents put all their children through. He stays in shape and eats right :)
The Amulet of Right bestows Brian with invulnerability of sorts as well as strength, and healing. It also gives him patience, slower temper and projects an aura of calm and ease when needed.
Mental characteristics
Brian's parents were descended from the guardians of the kings of Britain and given latent powers by Merlin himself (supposedly).Betsy was kidnapped as an infant by the
Red Room but her telepathy linked her to her mother and they rescued her with the help of the rest of the Crusaders. the family chased the
Red Room out of the UK permanently for recruitment.
Upon the explosion that killed his parents, he is visited by a vision of Merlin offering him the power of the knights of Camelot to defend her until the return of the king. Brian swears he serves Queen Elizabeth but he shall defend his home for his family. Merlin revealed that it was a test of Brian's loyalty as Queen Elizabeth does indeed hold the blood of Arthur. Merlin offers him his choice of power, the Amulet of Right or the Sword of Might. Brian choose the Amulet of Right. His brother, James Jr, became Lord Braddock and helped pave the way for Captain Britain to work in secret with the UK military. His sister,
Betsy Braddock was given a choice later in life and she chose the Sword, unlocking her own abilities. He was paired with
Roger Aubrey for training, but on his first mission with the group, Roger was lost. They had been lovers and Brian reached out to the family afterwards for comfort and got to know
Brian Falsworth.
He has had 2 lovers in his life,
Roger Aubrey and OTHER. He eventually marries
Roger Aubrey and they adopt the Warpies from an illegal Meta experiment siezed by the
Protectors and the UK government.
On his first actual mission, his lover is lost. Later it is discovered that he was captured and experimented on by
HYDRA.
History
Roger was one of the young recruits into the Crusaders, a UK military group officially MI8. He brought in Brian when they learned Brian had Merlyn's blessing to be Captain Britain. They became lovers as Brian matured.
A mission in Germany resulted in Roger being captured by teh Winter Soldier program, though Brian believed him to be dead.
Year later, James Rogers find Roger in teh Winter Soldier program and Brian is there to help in the recovery.
