Hope Pym Van Dyne (a.k.a. Wasp)
Born to Janet Van Dyne and Hank Pym as part of a set of twins. They were told the younger one was stillborn, but actually taken to Red Room.

She liked the language of flowers when they were kids. Particularly Begonias and Marigolds because they meant deep thinking and passion and creativity.
Hope was sent to boarding school when she was 7, 2 weeks after her mother died. There she refriended Tony Stark who had been her friend at parties for a long time. They swiped some of the headmaster’s whiskey. He was really advanced, but they stayed friend throughout their childhood and for a while when he left for MIT. They lost contact when Tony started partying. Hope completed a degree in Physics and then an MBA as she worked her way up in her father's company.
After Hope’s mother had died, her father had become downright unreachable. He ceased all but the most critical of communications with Hope and utterly refused to speak of her mother again. Tony had been there for most of that. He’d even been the one to prod her into martial arts, joining her in karate to appease the security forces who wanted him to stop getting kidnapped so often.

She became friends with Tony Stark at their parent's parties. When they were four, they’d agreed that they were best friends and best friends should have nicknames. Normal people called you by your regular name. But nicknames were for special people and reflected how special they were by whether someone else would have come up with it. Hope’s nickname was Eternal, or E when they were talking fast. Tony told her how his mother said it was an important proverb, Hope Springs Eternal. It meant people always hoped. The Stark Effect was discovered by Johannes Stark and Antonio Lo Surdo. Although technically, Tony was named for his mother’s grandfather, Hope had said it reminded her of his explanations. So he was called Lo Surdo, Or Lo, for Tony Lo Surdo. Their salutations were:“Stay sharp, Lo.”

Before Janet's death, they were distant, but caring. After Janet's death, Hank sent Hope to Boarding school and became cold and unapproachable. As adults, Hank supported Hope's career on occasion and Hope tries to maintain control of PymTech and eventually helps her father regain control from Darren Cross
