Personal history

Hank Married Janet Van Dyne before working as Antman with his wife. They gave birth to twins, but Nadia Pym was stillborn, except the child is alive but stolen by the Red Room.

PymTech specializes in Nanotech and molecular human enhancement research. Hank Pym created during his time working with SHIELD and Howard Stark. He developed his Pym Particles at SHIELD. Janet disappeared during a mission when she had to shrink between molecules.


After Janet disappeared, he told Hope that her mother died in an accident and then proceeded to separate himself from his daughter. He focused most of his attention on his company. After Janet's death, HYDRA tricked Hank into thinking Howard was trying to steal Pym Particles and SHIELD was recreating them without him. Then, Hank cut ties with SHIELD and retreated to Pym Tech. He mentored Darren Cross. But Darren wanted Pym Particles, which Hank kept secret. Hope helped Darren to oust Hank, but it was a cover to stay close to him so she could help her father from inside the company. He also transferred his anger at Howard to Tony Stark after Howard's death. Hope, however, is a friend of Tony and works to connect PymTech to Stark Industries.

History

Before Janet's death, they were distant, but caring.  After Janet's death, Hank sent Hope to Boarding school and became cold and unapproachable.
As adults, Hank supported Hope's career on occasion and Hope tries to maintain control of PymTech and eventually helps her father regain control from Darren Cross
