Þidírar

Þamtic: Dimtep Þidírar /tɪmthɛph θɪːtiraːr/
Þiðic: Þiðhjegein /θɪːðçɛɣeiːn/

Þidírar is an autonomous region within the elven republic of New Þamta in the eastern Southlands, covering the eastern mainland part of the country, and home to the Þiðans, a distinct elven ethnic group who, like the New Þamtans, originally came from Jælondis, but from a different country, namely Þ'iþí.
Centered on the city of Nomþó, the region encompasses what was originally the þiðan colony of Anþ'ei, which due to its location between the mightier colonies -and later countries- of New-Þamta to the west and goblin Kröþa to the southwest, alternated between new-þamtan and kröþan control or independence for most of its existence until New-Þamta gained full control over it in exchange for protection against the Kröþans.
After the conflict between the two powers ended, the new overlords had little interest in giving up the newly acquired territory, and imposed their own laws and culture on to the þiðans, but after the Fell Wars and subsequent influx of jælondic þiðans following the destruction of Þ'iþí, the new þamtans finally granted the þiðans more autonomy to prevent a full-scale rebellion.
Since then, the two communities have been at peace for the most part.
The current head of the þiðan government is Gaf'a Nogðófei.

Structure

Þidírar is divided into three counties, an organization already in place when Anþ'ei was integrated into New Þamta, though a number of festivals and local folklore is still associated with the original eleven counties.

Avin

Þamtic: Avin /aːvɪnː/
Þiðic: Afvín /aβiːn/

Alín covers the central part of the autonomous region, around the city of Nomþó. The county is known for producing crimson glory wine, a tradition that now only survives in Þidírar.

Eþó

Þamtic: Eþó /ɛːθouː/
Þiðic: Eiðóf' /eiːðouːfʼ/

Eþó covers the western part of the region, centered around the town of Jóf. Oak- and chestnut groves dot the region, the fruits of which are a common element in þiðan cuisine, and a few are considered sacred.

Ha

Þamtic: Ha /haː/
Þiðic: Óga /ouɣaː/

Ha covers the eastern part of Þidírar, centered around the town of Hjago.
