The kmúþans1 are a human ethnic group that originally hails from Kmúþó, a kingdom once located in southwestern Jælondis prior to being overrun by hordes of the undead during and following the Fell Wars four decades ago. Most have since migrated to the Southlands, particularly Arikróa, and Númra or to lesser extent in Þagralía or Keqallía in southwestern and southern Jælondis, respectively.
They are related to the Jörgals who once inhabited Jörgalía north of Kmúþó, but culturally closer to the Berekríans and Þagralíans.Atóxa Heo: Arikróan filmmaker of kmúþan descent.
Jóres Gúrn: Former museum director and archaeologist now working at the Úxepa Museum, who oversaw the shipping of numerous kmúþan artifacts there from the kmúþan capital of Tamjar prior to its fall.

Society
Government
The current head of the kmúþan government-in-exile is Tejalar Ytym II, son of Kúþax V and Tejela III, the last king and queen of Kmúþó. Both are based in Úxepa, capital of Arikróa.Culture
Art
Textiles
Kmúþans have long been known for their fine pile carpets, traditionally dyed blue, red and black and variously adorned with stylized horses, birds, fishes, shells or flowers. Tapestries were common among early kmúþans, but have since been supplanted by paintings and frescoes which sometimes incorporate elements from the former.Cuisine
Kmúþic cuisine is similar to traditional berekrían or to lesser extent jörgal ones, though notable for featuring many different sorts of pies, particularly meat pies with or without a lid, while the more common dumplings are mostly restricted to certain occasions such as birthday parties. Certain kinds of pies have become obscure since the Fell Wars, such as oyster pies which are now only baked by keqallían kmúþans, while others have been popularized worldwide by the fast food restaurant chain Pastry Palace, founded by Kmoss and Tygnes Gúrax.Language
Kmúþic was already widely used among western and southwestern jælondic scholars -especially biologists- before the Fell Wars, and now acts as a common tongue for the different human cultures that survived it, though generally written by the latter with the Jekralonic script rather than the kmúþic one. The language is closely related to the now endangered jörgalic.Warfare
Kmúþans light cavalry was considered one of the finest in southwestern Jælondis, utilizing both bows and magic with great skill, and today over one third of the arikróan cavalry is made up of kmúþans and their descendants.Notable kmúþans
1Original icelandic: Kmúþar, singular: Kmúþi.
