Sotu (/ˈsotuː/)

Qualifications

Educated in the laws and doctrines of Kahosh, usually within the Great Library in Hermi.

Requirements

Served as an apprentice under another Sotu, and proving themselves capable of taking over.

Appointment

A Sotu is appointed by the community Yipeem and approved by the Yom. In the case that they are appointed during a time that the Yom is not in session, they must be vetted by the nearest Yipeem and Sotu not of their own community.

Duties

A Sotu is expected to ensure the Yipeem they serve is making judgements within the laws and doctrine set forth by the Yom. It is a highly respected position, and very competitive.

Responsibilities

Reviewing judgement and citing proper doctrine and law for the Yipeem. Reporting to the Yom finalized judgements, rulings, and even concerns regarding their Yipeem.
