He was an adventurer with The Collective in a different timeline. The Collective turned on him when he got too much power to his head. He used the 9th lvl spell wish to create the universe but it backfired forcing him to stay in a chamber where he was left with one spell slot and unable to rest. The author is the man that the group ran into when transported to another realm. He holds a huge grudge against The Collective and since he was with them for so long he knows almost everything about them. He was freed by Maia’s group when they finished gathering the souls. He killed the other three but Maia was spared. He then immediately fixed the Crystal problem on Caledon and teleported to The Collective on the Nymph. He saw they were about to fight a Reigar and an Esthetic. He intervened and froze time, Krux and his ship were removed along with the Reigar and the esthtic. He then re-appeared and was about to kill The Collective when Eugene interjected and got the attention of The Author. The Author perplexed by such a creature left.
