Bangat Arena

The stone walls of the Bangat Arena are an intimidating sight. The circular structure serves as a 360 degree amphitheater. The seating stretches along the circumference of the building and can seat almost a thousand individuals. While this theater does occasionally host shows put on by various performing arts it is first and foremost a ring of battle. What would be the stage is a circular dirt floor that takes up most of the interior area of the circle. The citizens of Azamel seek the arena to enjoy watching jousts, team skirmishes, and one-on-one duels between mighty warriors. Occasionally tournaments are held flaunting large prize pools for those willing to enter. Due to the religious nature of the Holy Kingdom of Azamel, and its skilled clerics, death is an incredibly rare occurrence in the arena.
While most of the fights in the arena are bouts of honor between people there are times when the arena is used to dispose of unsavory monstrosities. The Fang-Fellers will sometimes offer additional coin for certain hunts if they are brought back alive at the behest of the arena. This is seen as a win-win scenario for everyone involved (except perhaps the creature) since the guild's clients are protected from the creature, the hunting party is paid handsomely for their troubles, the guild can charge the arena additional, and the arena can continue to host events even when the other competitions are out of season. The parties that participate in such bouts are usually looking to keep their skills sharp or are doing it for the coin.
