Oberon
King Oberon (a.k.a. The Green Lord)
Oberon was once a powerful Noble Sidhe (Archfey) and consort to the Summer Queen, Titania. Known as the Fairy King, Oberon held great power over nature, animals, and other creatures of the feywild. He led his own court known as the Green Court, an assembly of sprites and other fey not associated with Summer or Winter. However, as time went on, he convinced many of his own to join the Summer Court, acting as a middle-man for the recruitment of his own people to Titania's side. This would prove to be his undoing however.
While it seemed as though Oberon had plans to join the Summer Court and stand beside Titania, a plot was discovered that painted a new light on Oberon's actions. Oberon was said to have not been sending his people to Summer for the sake of strengthening bonds, but as a means of planting malefactors and traitors within Summer's ranks with the intention of performing a coup and taking the throne of Summer for himself.
Oberon's time in Faerie as he was came to an end soon after. A bloody conflict among the members of Summer resulted in his defeat, cursing, and banishment by Queen Titania. The name of Oberon is never spoken in Titania's presence, and rarely so in any domain of the Summer Court, for fear of her reaction at his mention.

The most identifying features Oberon had that differed from others were his eyes, which were radiant gold and - unlike other Sidhe, whose eyes often take the appearance of cat's eyes - like a hawk or other bird of prey, and his wings which were multicolored and shone with light when he willed them to. It was believed that his wings could also bend light around him, making it more difficult to locate where he stood.
After his fall, it is said that Oberon lost his wings, burned away by Titania in her fury.

Specialized Equipment
Oberon held many special items on his person during his reign in Faerie:
- Crown of the Green Lord. Oberon's crown and the symbol of his station as the leader of the sprites of Faerie. This crown was lost for a time but recovered by the Green Court, who still exist as Wyldfae within Faerie, unaffiliated with Summer or Winter.
- Cloak of Leaves. A magical cloak held by the King of Fairies that would obscure him from sight within woodlands and trees.
- Belt of the Savage Pursuer. An artifact of the Wild Hunt, once held by its leader, Oberon, then by his successor the Erlking, King of the Goblins, before being given to a mortal champion and lost within the Mortal Plane for a time.
- Spear of the Wilds. The spear used by Oberon in his hunts. It was imbued with the poison known to be used by sprites, and dealt great damage to beasts and monsters, especially those of great size or strength.
- Horn of the Wild Hunt. A great horn, held by Oberon when he commanded the Wild Hunt. It was lost before his fall, only assisting in his defeat. The horn was believed to be reforged into three horns which were gifted to the Kings of Summer and Winter by Hyrsam, who kept the third.
- Heartseeker. The legendary bow of Oberon the Green Lord. It was made of mythril and faeglass, and was as beautiful to behold as it was terrifying to see in use. It was said to be able to fire arrows of pure light and was crafted by Nimue herself.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Many of his own court viewed Oberon as a noble soul who cared deeply for his people and the state of Faerie, and in a way those statements are true. He cared for the betterment of his people and the preservation of Faerie, but many saw these motivations as skewed toward his own goals. By those outside his court, he was often thought as overly pompous, selfish, and authoritative, worming his own goals into other's plans for his own ends.
Social
Contacts & Relations
Titania, the Summer Queen
Titania and Oberon had a complicated and unhealthy relationship, majorly to do with Oberon's own actions. Though consort to Titania, Oberon known to frequent others' bedchambers, be they fey or mortal, behind her back, infuriating Titania. But sweet words, excuses, and influence bought him more time at her side.Oberon was also instrumental in the genesis of several conflicts between Summer and Winter. He was known to stoke the already seething fire of distrust between the Queens by pushing the subject of conflict with Winter.
Throughout his time at Titania's side, he never took an oath to her as a member of the Summer Court, but he worked with her to incorporate his own court of wildfae into Summer, swelling Summer's numbers considerably. However, the treachery of this action became aparent to Titania and ended their relationship in a rather violent manner.
Mab, the Winter Queen
Oberon despised Queen Mab with a passion. In his many years at Titania's side he tried as much as he dared to push for the destruction of Winter, which led to many conflicts both small and large. For her part, Mab held no love for Oberon in the slightest, but cared less about his destruction, or his existence, so long as he remain firmly out of her sight and domain. If anything, Mab cared more for her sister's opinion of the sprite king than anything as his efforts further separated them. There are some among the fey - who speak with whispered tones and never in the realms of Winter - who speak rumors of Oberon's attempt to court Mab, and his many failures that caused a burning hatred for her instead. But those rumors are unwise to repeat.
Hyrsam, the Satyr Prince
Hyrsam was one of the closest friends and companions of Oberon. He accompanied him on the Wild Hunt, sang with him through the forest and glades, and attended events in his honor both Courtly and not. However, rumor is that their friendship became strained when Oberon began encouraging his own Wildfae people to join the Summer Court. There is speculation that Hyrsam's own loyalty to the purity of Faerie overcame his friendship with Oberon, causing him to play an instrumental role in the fall of the Green Lord. This is most telling by the fact that the horn Oberon kept so closely to him went missing during his conflict with Titania, but resurfaced later as three distict horns for the new lords of the Wild Hunt, one of which is Hyrsam.Erlking, the Goblin King
Oberon hated goblins and all goblinkind both fey and mortal. He made sport of hunting and killing them, causing a great rivalry between himself and the Goblin King. The Erlking relished in his boughts with the Green Lord, much to the agrivation of Oberon, and neither ever truly defeated the other, though the Erlking still proudly displays many scars given to him by the Fairy King.Following Oberon's fall, the Erlking was gifted one of the horns of the Wild Hunt, and eventually won enough of Titania's respect to claim the title of Summer King despite the two's lack of relationship.
