Imperial forces siege Everdeep in an attempt to assault the Tower of the Magi there.
After an intense seige and many attempted assaults, the Tower of the Magi in Everdeep was razed by Imperial forces.
The Purge ends with the death of the Emperor and the succession by his son.
Yoten workers revolt against the empire in a bid to gain fair recompense for time and resources put into the creation of cannons for the Imperial navy. Ended with a treaty signed by Emperor Magnus Brunsvolde granting reparations and allowing several freedoms and looser restrictions to the Yotenar and their League of Inventors in the creation and use of resources previously stressed by the Bright Ministry as "imperial property" within Yotenar borders.
The first successful powderarm weapon is unveiled in the Yoten Highlands. One of the inventors of the weapon, Felix Flint, would later perfect this larger model into the first handcannon over the next year.
An evening attack on the capital of Aestara at the hands of the Yoten terrorist Felix Flint, targets a Ministry procession near one of their offices in the outer city. By means of smuggled barrels of smokepowder and new Yoten weaponry, the individual layed waste to the block killing dozens before they were apprehended moving toward the royal city gate.
An invasion undertaken by the Bright Ministry's Inquisitor Dominum was led on the far eastern shores of the country of Trandrafia. Though it was ultimately less of a success than desired, the Empire still hold a colony port on the shores and participate in skirmishes against Trandrafian military to hold what land they have been able to claim.
The dwarven city of Khaghammer is invaded by drow led by the shadow dragon Vokunzuul. With the assistance of the second son of the king, the king is assassinated, the prince captured, and his children secreted away from the capital to arrive in Doldarel after several weeks.
The "first annual" Battle of the Bards is held on the World Stage in Vanheim, hosted by the noble Wamont Tymne, the winner of which is a bard named Aanya Andelane, later identified as Dragonsong.
After several weeks of occupation by Vokunzuul and his drow, a group of adventurers led the charge for the remaining forces of Khaghammer to strike back against their fallen prince and the dragon that lords over them.
A form of drow construction attempting to bind part of the souls of the dwarves they imprisoned within humanoid construct forms is found within Khaghammer. Several are beyond help and put down, others are integrated hesitantly into society. All research found of this process is ordered to be destroyed...
The Norns' call is answered by each Nordic clan of Binordheim, arriving at the isle of the rotting Sarendril to hear their prophecy. From the congregated parties a group was formed to carry out a request of the wise seers.
Death of Emperor Magnar the Meek by sudden sickness, Emperor of Aestara.
While traveling the Sea of Echoes to teh Yoten Highlands, the ship carrying Tempestas Chris Vortiese, High General of Dracia disappears. Upon investigation, the ship was found to have been attacked and sunk.
Shortly following the return of the Dracian ambassador from the Imperial capital, the Imperial Navy blockades the waters leaving Dracia.
Imperial assassination attempt on Dracian leadership is thwarted, but leads to the death of Drake Cormund, Umbral of Dracia and Headmaster of the Ruby Atheneum, and the later discovered disappearance of the Ventaer Regis Goles, Ambassador of Dracia, leaving two empty seats within the Hexad Assembly. In retalliation, a few days later, a Dracian strike force attacks the Imperial blockade. Though ultimately a victory, explosives on the ships caused many casualties.
The Champions of the Norns cleanse Sarendril of its corruption, reconnecting it to its source once more and allowing the once-rotting tree to become revitalized.
The Champions of the Norns succeed at their quest, a cult of the Void is thwarted and the Long Winter breaks.
After several weeks of raids followed by an attempted seige Dracia and the Bloodfury Orcs from the south make temporary truce, allowing the newly declared orc kingdom to settle within Dracian borders.
The secret Imperial Inquisitor stronghold known as the Sanctorium of Eurban falls to a group of adventurers. The well of knowledge and materials used to create the inquisitor’s is destroyed.
The small town of Mol is attacked. Most buildings are burned to the ground and there are few survivors.
The Ministry office in Havencrest is attacked by unknown terrorists. A few reguli survive, but the fire spreads to nearby buildings and houses before it is quelled.
The Dominum of Inquisition publicly declares terrorists responsible for the attack on the outskirts of the Sanctorium of Eurban, the town of Mol, and the temple and Ministry office in Havencrest - which within a couple weeks - enemies of the state, and provide generalized descriptions of the believed culprits.
A Yoten strike force attacks metallurgy facilities important to the production of weapons in Aestaran territory.
Upon discovery of this attack, Aestara grants their territory of Yoten Highlands two weeks to turn over the terrorists or be declared to be in open rebellion.
Upon the deadline of the Empire’s demand, the Yoten Highlands delivers the heads of the Bright Ministry reguli and officials who were stationed in their lands to the capital, declaring open rebellion.
Aestara officially declares war on the rebelling region of Yotenar.
With this declaration came the next and greatest wave of religious and legislative edicts. Most gods of the Imperial Pantheon were declared either illegal to worship or changed in their importance and station among the state religion. This edict was supported by the highest priests in Aestara and began the most imposing religious reforms, causing many to speak out against the edicts.
A great light is seen for miles around the Imperial capitol, blazing to life at sunset. The light remained for two more nights before fading on the third morning. While the light blazed, the temples in the city and surrounding land not devoted to Dimdall found contacting their deities difficult, some not regaining or accessing spells granted by their gods for the duration.
The emperor is not seen for months after this event.
The Aestaran Golden Host marches on the Yoten Highlands region south of Stormtor, culminating in the capture of the city of Redstone before the Host marches on Stormtor to blockade the gates into the northern highlands.
Second major battle of the Highlands Campaign. Aestaran naval forces attempt to make landfall along the Stormscar Coast, but are summarily repelled at great loss.
Aestara forces a change in governance permenantly in the region of Vanheim, absorbing it into the umbrella of Aestara and removing its ability to self-govern. Grand Pretre Kallistrate takes over for the former magistrate in while the Imperial Throne decides the new leadership of Vanheim.
Led by Knight-General Alastor Renna, a company of Golden Host soldiers are led from the city of Vanheim north to sack the city of Faer Orthad.
A short campaign ended in retreat as the orcish allies of the Dracians harried the troops on their march and at the gates of the city. The magical fires that fell upon the invading army and the orcs caused a rift in the new alliance and forced the Aestarans to retreat back to Vanheim territory.
Following further negotiations with the Bloodfury orcs, Dracia led their army alongside the orcs in a retalliation attack on the city of Vanheim, hoping to catch the wounded Aestarans by surprise.
On 7 Rebirth, the city was assaulted and by 10 Rebirth it was taken.
With the encouragement of their new God-Emperor, the Aestaran forces in Vanheim gather to assault the city of Vanheim. With many of the Dracian militants ordered to return to Dracia, the city is overrun and taken from its new orcish rulers, forcing their retreat into the nearby mountains and forests. Tellurian Meghan Veres was killed by an inquisitor defending a Dracian airship while General Zyfe-Nin was gravely wounded before retreating.
God-Emperor Sigmund joins his army in Vanheim shortly after their victory and marches with them to sack the city of Faer Orthad. After a brief seige and grueling battle, the city of Faer Orthad was smote from the face of the land by the divine power of the God-Emperor as the mages attempted to escape.
Sigmund I is named God-Emperor upon his return to the public view. His new power radiating from him as his voice pierces the minds of all within the Empire and declaring the beginning of a new age with him as the embodiment of human triumph, determination, and supremecy upon the world. The one true god of this world.
After a year of setting up new manufacturing facilities, training more workers, manufacturing powderarms, and training a special company of soldiers, the Aestarans field their first powderarm company, the Storm Cannon Company.
