Shadow Dyv
Shadow Dyv are a race of hulking dark-skinned Dyv known for their particularly horrifying faces. Shadow Dyv, as their name suggests, live in the shadows and use it as their weapon. At night, they devour camps and caravans foolish enough to not keep plenty of fires. Unlike other Dyv, they are particularly vulnerable to sunlight itself as it both burns them and prevents their regeneration, however, their regeneration in darkness is extreme quick. While they normally hide their faces under heavy hoods and cloaks, they can reveal it to terrify most foes.
There are two schools of thought as to the origin of the Shadow Dyv. The most common story is that they are Dyv who ate the remnants of Invader technology. The other is that there was once a tribe of Dyvs that thought it was smart idea to swear The Spring Court eternal servitude in exchange for being able to live in their lush wilds. Instead, the Queen of the Spring Court considered them too ugly, and removed their faces and caused them to eternally fear the light so that no one would have to look upon them.
Due to their commonality in Jhanin, the fairy tail is perhaps closest to the truth, though a number of them can be found in Dath.
