Archons
Archon, is the name we give to the first beings that 'Elshaion', the creator gave life too.
These beings are of a spiritual nature, lacking a physical body and the limitations (and benefits) associated with such.
The creator made these beings, to act as his emissaries, guardians, watchers and helpers. They were his witnesses and assistants in his creation of the world and everything within it.
Many of them, he gave specific roles, even allowing some to propose designs, ideas and concepts for the creatures and sapient races that would populate the world.
Of course, being created themselves, their powers were limited compared to the Creator himself; they could not give their creations life, but would bring them to the Creator to be evaluated and given life if he deemed them 'good'.
There are countless Archons, these celestial beings have a hierarchy that is barely understood by us of the physical realm.
We do however know some of the prominent Archons act as guardians over certain people, regions or concepts and ideals.
For example, Eleazar, known as the Solar Archon is the governor of the sun and daylight and also the father of the Nomad Elves.
Lumina is the Archon of Moonlight, calm nights and considered mother of the Highlander Elves.
Beremus is well known to Mages, as the Archon of Knowledge and Learned Wisdom.
While I believe these beings themselves are not quite Gods, like some primitive schools of thought believed, they do possess some measure of power and will often aid people who uphold their governed ideals in indirect ways.
Sadly, while most Archons we know of are benevolent like their creator, there are some who fell to darkness and are dangerous to deal with. We shall go over these later in the book, under the chapter on the 'Fallen'....
