Highlander Elves

The name Highlander is the Centran translation of their native tongue for the name they call themselves. They inhabit the western highlands north of the Duchy of Fremilan and are the only Elven race that actually build traditional cities. Highlanders are commonly called ‘high elves’ by much of mankind. In general, they are tall and have slender figures. They have black or dark brown hair, and commonly have blue or green eyes. Highlanders are often fairly intelligent and agile, though lack the muscle density of humans and thus tend to be weaker physically. They often have an aloof and sometimes even arrogant manner towards other races, but are generally good hearted and will come to other sapient races aid in times of need.

Highlanders have some of the finest armourers and weapon smiths in the world, expertly crafted highlander weapons and armour are highly prized items. Old Highlanders (a few hundred years or so) often suggest having a Human friend is good, they argue it helps keep one grounded and not too distant after such long lives, even if the erratic and impatient behaviour of Humans can sometimes be annoying.
