The Black Knights of the Tower

An elite force of knights, equipped with virtually indestructible amarantine armour. Their armour gives them high durability as well as incredible defence against magic. Only the most exceptional warriors are admitted into the Black Knights and when one retires or is slain, a replacement will be recruited from the best knights of the realm. The knights are often deployed to slay dangerous beasts, or in times of war to strike at vulnerable targets. In ages past the knights were known to ride on black pegasi, though the breed is very rare these days. Instead the knights ride horses adorned with symbolic, upright wings in remembrance of their heritage.
