Guild of the Crescent Vale

"The very nature of the guild is to try new theories by experimentation. The problem is finding funds to back guild endeavors when there is a high chance that a return in investment might disappear with the death of the guild member." -Former Guild Leader           The Crescent Vale was created by a gnomish community that settled in a verdant valley in the Northern Star Empire. After a few years, they earned enough backing to fund new branches of the guild. But due to the very dangerous nature of the guild's experimentations, they decided to go with a nomadic steam-powered workshop. As time and equipment became better more roving workshops were seen more often.       The guild has a thirst for knowledge that sometimes causes them to overlook bad habits when dealing with funds. This has to lead many to go bankrupt and be forced to work for whoever was willing to pay their debt off. The common people see the guild as a utility to the failing structures of the Council of Wolves or as expert handymen. But the truth is a simpler thing for the guild members, they just want to try out new things and to learn about hidden knowledge and lost truths.
